Clinical and Academic Background

Currently, I am working in private practice under Kellum Lewis, LMFT. He supports my therapeutic growth. I have full faith in his supervisory ability with 25+ years of experience under his belt and our complimentary theoretical orientations.

I started my clinical work at a community mental health center, which sought to provide services to as wide a population as feasible given the limitations of outpatient work. While there I started to develop my clinical voice, working under the supervision of a seasoned Jungian Analyst.

I attended Antioch Los Angeles for my master's in clinical psychology with a specialization in Depth Psychology. I also worked at a neurofeedback center as a technician while attending grad school . I found that graduate school provided the opportunity to explore countless psychological theories and working under a neuroscientist allowed me to grow my knowledge of the brain as an organ.

Prior to graduate school I volunteered as a crisis counselor at Crisis Text Line. That position introduced me to supporting individuals through times of crisis. The experience of working with individuals on the text line and every other step along the way to becoming a mental health professional has affirmed that this work is what I feel most called to do.

Interests and Past Career

My main passion outside of working together with individuals and couples in a therapeutic setting is rock climbing. Climbing gets me outside, to places I may never had visited were it not for climbing, and creates shared experiences with close friends. In getting out frequently, I have found how much I value being a part of the natural world. I do bring nature into my work with clients who ask or I feel would benefit from EcoPsychology.

My past career was in film production, so I understand the grind of many entertainment industry professionals working in LA these days. My passion for climbing and my work in film production collided when I produced, directed, and shot a documentary about the largest queer rock climbing convention in the world, Homoclimbtastic.

Climbing With Pride explores a community I am lucky to consider myself a part of and I am very proud of the film.
